Circle of Champs

Circle of Champs is a program dedicated to improving the quality of life for children battling a life-threatening illness. The program offers opportunities for families to enjoy outings together, free of charge, including baseball games, cooking classes, camp, and more. Circle of Champs was founded in 1999, and serves families throughout the entire New York State Capital Region. It is run through the Capital District YMCA.
The Van Norton Family Foundation sponsored the 2024 December event, which was a holiday party that also celebrated the 25th anniversary of the program.

Ryan’s Wish Foundation

Ryan’s Wish Foundation is dedicated to helping people who are battling a serious illness to “play and live strong.” The foundation provides financial support to assist individuals of all ages with expenses incurred during treatment or hospitalization for cancer and other serious illnesses within St. Lawrence, Franklin, Jefferson, and Lewis Counties. Financial support is provided to individuals based upon need.

Kindness Is

Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA)
Founded in 1969, VLA is the leading legal aid and education organization dedicated to New York artists and its arts and cultural organizations. VLA strives to protect the artistic community’s livelihoods, businesses, and creative works through access to dedicated legal representation and focused innovative education programs.
The Van Norton Family Foundation contributed to supporting a legal fellowship that increases the ability of the VLA to help artists.
